Job Description
The Development Professional works for the Chief Executive Officer to plan, implement and coordinate fundraising efforts and community activities that will encourage, maintain and increase philanthropic support to meet the short and long term needs of the organization. These activities will be consistent with the mission and goals of the organization and shall reach individuals, corporations/ businesses, and churches in the area. The goal of this position is to INCREASE fundraising donations for CLC by at least 50%. This position will initially be 80% fundraising and 20% operational.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent prior experience; non-profit experience required.
Responsibilities
I. General
A. Train and lead other staff members to support fundraising and marketing efforts.
B. Assist Chief Executive Officer in planning fundraising events.
C. Write fundraising letters, appeals, and oversee direct mailings.
II. Donor Relationships/ Fundraising
A. Seek to build and cultivate ongoing relationships with new and existing donors (those with whom no current staff member has a strong relationship) in Greenville area.
1. Develop and grow individual donor base.
2. Assist with program tours and non-ask events for those interested.
3. Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors by producing correspondences, preparing letters of acknowledgement, scheduling and attending in-person visits.
4. Organize and carry out direct mail campaigns.
5. Appropriate recognition/ appreciation for donors.
B. Develop a CLC fundraising strategic plan, incorporating traditional, new and innovative fundraising methods such as: social media and crowd funding.
III. Corporate & Church Liaison
A. Initiate and cultivate appropriate business contacts in the Greenville area to expand the ministry's donor base. Serve as liaison on behalf of CLC to businesses.
1. Seek opportunities to present giving opportunities in time for annual budget consideration.
2. Seek appropriate donations: monetary and in-kind goods and services.
3. Write grant proposals and reports to corporate and foundation funders.
4. Enhance relationships through appropriate recognition and cultivation opportunities with donors.
5. Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate and foundation sponsors.
B. Develop a systematic plan/ calendar whereby every supporting church and businesses are offered a personal report on the organization and ministry at least once a year. Serve as liaison on behalf of CLC to churches.
1. Develop and implement calendar to mail periodic updates/ success stories and testimonies to churches for inclusion in their bulletins and newsletters.
C. Utilize and maintain donor database and records.

A. Experience in all aspects of fundraising at various levels
B. Familiar with leading fundraising efforts for large non-profit organizations
C. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
D. Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
E. Proven management, leadership and fellowship capabilities.
F. High energy, positive, "can-do" attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail; high degree of initiative required.
G. Strong partnership building and event planning skills.
H. Good computer skills and knowledge of database program, especially MS Word, and MS Excel.
I. Superb proofreading and problem-solving skills.
J. Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning clients, volunteers, staff, and donors.

CDL BUS DRIVER
Hourly: $17.00
Hours: Part-Time, various schedules during school day hours
Job Description
Our CLC Bus Drivers transport students back and forth between the school and the Released-Time class location using a variety of buses owned by or loaned to our organization. Driver will perform bus inspection before and after each driving day and keep the bus neat and tidy.

This is an hourly position 48 weeks per year, 36 hours per week.

Will also answer phones, perform data entry, filing, prepare and make bank deposits, support the board's Prayer Committee activities, provide support to Executive Director, Development Associates and Office Manager.
