Getting Started in a Program Volunteer Position |
|
| 1. Request a Volunteer Application Packet by click here! |
- You will receive the packet via email. Read the information, noting any questions you may have for Executive Director of Christian Learning Centers of Greenville County.
- Select a volunteer position for service. Please note qualifications and responsibility of position.
- Retain the packet information for future reference.

2. Volunteer Application |
- Complete the application form in its entirety from the packet above.
- Call the Executive Director (864-236-0450) to set up an interview appointment.
|
|
3. Interview with Executive Director |
- This process will require about 65 minutes of your time. It includes:
- Program video (4-5 minutes)
- Meeting with the Executive Director which includes discussion about the volunteer duties of the volunteer position you have chosen (15 minutes).
- Child abuse prevention training video (25 minutes)
- Release Time Bible Class Orientation (15 minutes)
- Photo ID (to be forwarded within two weeks) (5 minutes)

4. Application Disposition |
- Application reviewed by Executive Director.
- Reference checks completed.
- Background check completed.
- Driver’s record check completed, if required.
- Letter of Acceptance or regret and photo ID mailed to applicant

5. Report for Service Duty |
- Report to program to lead supporting volunteers or to assist the program coordinator (whichever is applicable) in carrying our Bible class.

| NOTE: All coordinators receive "First-Day" assistance from the Executive Director or Program Director on the day the coordinators begin their services. |
