Benefits of
Released-Time Christian
Education.
The benefits are many! Released-Time Christian Education
is an open door to encourage community participation in building a
better county, state and country.
Public institutions, particularly
our public schools, can accommodate specific moral or religious training
without contradicting the current understanding of separation of church
and state.
Released-Time Christian Education
is a way for religious groups to reach out to local school children
during the school day.
It affords
us an opportunity to teach moral and Christian precepts. These precepts
can serve to improve individual values and, thus, affect the entire
population.
Students, parents, and principals
attest to positive results from the released-time program.
History teaches us that children's
academic pursuits do not suffer. In some cases, academics improved.
Released-Time demonstrates responsiveness
by the authorities to the concern of the community.
Having the opportunity to attend a
released-time class will keep many children in the public schools
rather than private, Christian, or home schools.
The Released-Time Bible class offers
students a chance to interact with positive role models and within
a positive peer-group environment.
